Falcon Day Centre - Paisley
Home > Services > Social care and health > Services for older people
A typical day in the centre offers varied activities which promote social skills and aim to meet individual, personal and physical needs.
We offer support with personal care, for example, hairdressing, chiropody and bathing. We encourage clients to enjoy company and take advantage of the many activities and social events that we provide. These include:
- outings
- group work activities (quiz games, music, craft work)
- art tutor
- tai chi classes
- pet therapy
- reality orientation (people with dementia can benefit from this approach as it raises awareness and helps communication)
- a library service
- support and advice to carers
Falcon Day Centre is purpose built and is situated entirely on the ground floor. It is light and airy and has a main dining area, 5 sitting areas and 'homebase' and 'workbase' (which are used for arts and crafts).
