Are you a carer?
You are a carer if you regularly look after a family member, or help someone who is ill, frail or has a disability.

You can contact your local social work area team whose contact details are on the right hand menu. Also a friend, relative doctor or other concerned person can, with your agreement contact the social work department. If you are in hospital there are social workers who you can approach for assistance. You may also want to look at the Caring for Carers website provided by the Department of Health.
