Mentoring support project

We provide a mentoring service to help 'looked after' young people aged 14-18 to overcome barriers they face such as poor parental support and to help them remain at school. Other young people are supported to attend interviews, careers, college, employment and training courses.
The CoSLA Gold Award winning project is the first in Scotland to use the Social Work Standard Performance Improvement Framework Indicators as the basis of an action plan devised and used by each young person to achieve their goals.
Mentors build trusting relationships with the young people and influence them to make positive choices.
Our mentoring support project has had a positive impact on young peoples' lives supporting them to achieve positive outcomes, such as securing employment, a full time place at college or a training course.
- 88% of young people who attended the project achieved a positive outcome
- 76% sustained this outcome for over 6 months
Anyone can refer a young person to this service. If you know of a vulnerable child, in need of help, who would benefit from our service, please contact us:
