Below are the standards of service you can expect from us:
- We will acknowledge referrals in writing within three working days of receiving them.
- We will introduce your project worker to you within 10 working days of your case being given to them.
- We will put together a support plan, with you and whoever referred you (your 'referrer'), during your first home visit.
- We will review the support plan with you and your referrer every 12 weeks.
- We will give you advice and support to encourage you to have your children immunised and take care of their teeth.
- We will ask you and your referrer for your views of our service once you no longer need our support.
- We will run groups which will help you understand the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.
- We will run parenting groups to help you understand your children’s needs, and offer ways to help you manage their behaviour.
- We will run antenatal groups.
- Under our ‘Getting our Priorities Right’ procedures, we will assess any child living with parents with addiction problems.
- We will encourage positive bonding between parents and babies by providing infant massage (individually or in groups).
- We will provide a worker who is trained and able to help if parents have mental-health problems or if a learning disability is affecting a family.
- We will review our standards every six months and consult you to make sure we are meeting our standards.
- We will publish the outcome of our review of standards on this website
- We will encourage our staff to fully take part in running our service and make sure that they have the opportunity to join in any training programme which will increase their knowledge and skills.
