At Family Matters we provide a service which supports both your family and the needs of your child/children. We work with pre 3's to provide early intervention to support families and we work in partnership with other agencies such as health visitors and nursery and social workers.
We offer one to one support which will help you deal with problem solving. It will also help build your confidence and self esteem. We can also offer you practical advice on routines, mealtimes and bed times for your children. In addition we have a group work programme.
There may be many reasons why you are referred to us, such as feeling low and wanting some extra support. You may have a substance misuse problem and be looking for other ways to cope. You may be a first time parent and be feeling overwhelmed and not sure how to manage - we can offer support with this. You may have a learning disability and feel you need extra support.
Referrals to Family Matters come from other agencies, for example, health visitors, nursery or social workers. If you would like to be referred to us they can do so on your behalf.
There is no charge for our service.
Below is our annual report which outlines our service delivery from April 2006 until 2007 and describes our planned development for the coming year.
