A carer is someone who looks after a partner, relative, neighbour or friend who could not easily manage without some help.
A carer's self assessment is an easier way of requesting services to help you as a carer.

There are many services that may help you:
- home care staff can help with household tasks and personal care;
- bath seats, rails or hoists can be provided; and
- respite services can give you a break from caring.
- cooked meals that can be delivered;
- day centres;
- advice on welfare benefits; and
- a range of other services offered by the Renfrewshire Carers' Centre.

Please telephone the Adult Service Request Team (ASeRT) on 0141 207 7878 and a form will be sent to you. After we receive the form a member of staff will contact you within 28 days.
