Become more comfortable and confident in dealing with your finances.
Financial Education supports groups and individuals from as young as 14 right through to retirement age. We hold workshops and presentations for community groups, parents groups and youth groups, as well as one-to-one sessions with individuals.
We give advice and information on financial issues to help you make informed choices when dealing with financial institutions. Improving your financial situation can impact positively on your home life and health. Learn about:
- successful budgeting;
- understanding your credit rating;
- how to shop around for credit;
- opening bank accounts;
- secure and unsecured loans;
- credit cards;
- overdrafts; and
- credit unions.
It's important to understand how financial decisions affect you because understanding how to budget and deal with your finances can prevent future debt problems occurring.
It's not realistic to expect you to change your financial position overnight. However, everytime you make an informed financial decision, it will make a small difference. The main aim is to keep an open mind about your finances and focus on your financial goals.
