Applicants refused planning consent have a right of appeal to the Scottish Government.
The Scottish Government Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA) is responsible for dealing with planning and related appeals in Scotland. You can find information on the role of DPEA, the types of appeal and appeals procedures on the Scottish Government website.
You can also use the planning appeals search facility to view the outcomes of past appeals and the progress of current ones.
