The board responsible for planning is the Planning and Economic Development Policy Board. This board deals with planning matters including planning applications and building standards.
The council has delegated powers to the director of planning and transport to make decisions on many classes of planning and building standards applications. All applications which are not delegated to the director are decided by the board. You can view the planning and building standards powers delegated to the director on page 38 of this document:

The board meets twice during each of the council’s committee cycles. Generally, this results in a meeting once every three weeks. Meetings take place in the council chambers at Council Headquarters, Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley. (See the Directions page.) The public can attend the board meetings which are scheduled for the following dates between now and 8 December 2009:

You can view and search the council's board agendas and minutes. The agendas for all council boards are made available to the public three days before the meetings. The minutes of the boards are made available on this website after the council has approved them.
