The board responsible for planning is the Planning and Economic Development Policy Board. This board deals with planning matters including planning applications and building standards.
The council has delegated powers to the Director of Planning and Transport to make decisions on many classes of planning and building standards applications. All applications which are not delegated to the director are decided by the board.
The current scheme of delegation for planning came into effect on 3 August 2009. This is available below to view or download.
