The council has a database for all the property addresses in Renfrewshire. The database gives every property a unique property reference number (UPRN). The database is used by the council and partner organisations to make sure that properties are accurately addressed. All councils in Scotland have to set up a similar database as part of a Scottish Government scheme called Definitive National Addressing for Scotland (DNA-S).
