Introduction
These are the standards of service you can expect from us in dealing with Economic Development enquiries. We may not be able to meet these targets in all cases, but we expect to most of the time.
Contact by phone
We will:
- Answer our phones quickly, normally within five rings
- Return phone calls, to officers who are temporarily unavailable, within one day
- Be polite
We will:
- Arrange meetings outwith normal working hours if necessary
- Be on time for appointments (if you don’t have an appointment we will try to deal with your enquiry or arrange a convenient appointment for you)
- Provide special facilities if you ask (for example, help with access, large-print documents, translation servies, or help to fill in application forms)
We will:
- Acknowledge applications for Business Support within three working days
- Process applications for Business Support within 14 working days of getting all relevant information
- Reply to formal complaints within 13 working days
- Respond to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act within 20 working days
- Write all our letters in plain language and in a clear typeface
