Cycling is an enjoyable, healthy activity. It also has environmental benefits if people use bikes for travel in place of cars. Renfrewshire is crossed by two national cycle routes and also has a varied range of rural roads which provide good cycling. The council is keen to promote cycling both as a recreational activity and as a means of sustainable transport for activities such as shopping and going to work.
