We may be able to offer help to reduce your council tax bill if your home has been adapted to meet the needs of a disabled person who lives there.

All homes in Renfrewshire have been put into bands based on their value, and we charge different amounts of council tax depending on which band your home is in. If your home has been adapted, we can move it into the next lowest band so that you pay less council tax.

How it works
For example, if your home is in band B, and you adapt it to help a disabled person living there, we can move you down to band A, so reducing your council tax bills.

If you are already in band A, there is obviously no lower band to move you to. Instead, we can give you a reduction of one sixth of your bill.
