Direct Debit – the easiest way to pay your business rates
Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. Non domestic rates are payable on the 7th of each month. If you do not already pay by Direct Debit and would like to change to this payment method please download the
direct debit mandate (pdf - 86KB)
or contact us and ask for a Direct Debit mandate to be posted out to you.

Internet payments
- You can pay online using any UK bank or building society credit or debit card.
- Payment can be made in person at our offices or by telephoning 0141 842 4400 between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday. An automated payment service is also available 24 hours a day by telephoning 0845 602 0355. We charge a 2% fee on all credit card payments.
- If you want to change to this method of payment, contact us and ask for a standing order mandate to be posted to you.

Cheques and postal orders
- These should be crossed "A/C Payee Only" and made payable to "Renfrewshire Council". If you pay at the Post Office, make sure your payment is made payable to "Post Office Ltd".
- You can use your payment card at our offices (see the link in the related content), or at any UK Post Office. If you would like to change to this method of payment, or need us to send you a replacement payment card, please contact us.
- Giro account holders should complete the Girobank Transcash Advice, detach it and send it to the GiroBank in one of their special envelopes. To pay cash at a Post Office, complete the GiroBank Transcash Advice and hand the entire notice to the Post Office clerk.
- Complete the form provided and present the entire notice with payment to any bank.
