Here are some tips on how to reduce junk mail and unwanted phone calls. Use these links to find out more:



Junk mail

To reduce the amount of personally addressed junk mail coming through your door, contact:

It will be about four months before you start to get less mail. Put a notice in your window or next to your letterbox saying that you do not want to receive leaflets.

Unaddressed leaflets

To reduce the number of unaddressed leaflets delivered by the Royal Mail, write, phone or email them and ask them to stop delivering:

Unwanted phone calls

To reduce the number of unwanted phone sales calls from companies who have not previously phoned you contact:

It will take up to 28 days for you to stop receiving unwanted phone calls.

To reduce the number of unwanted phone sales calls from companies who have previously phoned you, send a letter by recorded delivery to each of them asking them to stop phoning you. Let them know that you will report any further calls from them to The Office of Communications (OFCOM). If a company continues to call you after you have asked them to stop, contact:

Silent phone calls

These phone calls are caused by companies who use automatic dialling equipment which dials more numbers than there are operators available. If you are bothered by silent phone calls:
