Clearing litter in Linwood
The council is responsible for keeping roads, pavements, parks and other open space areas litter-free.

As part of the Clean Renfrewshire campaign, our 'Litter Hit Squad' clear up litter throughout Renfrewshire.

We also make landowners keep their land tidy and clear of litter by creating 'litter control areas'. There are four litter control areas in Renfrewshire: 'Fly-tipping' is the illegal dumping of rubbish on public or private land. It looks bad, damages the environment and can be a health hazard.

If you see fly-tipping or discover dumped waste, contact the Clean Renfrewshire team (details below) or phone the National Stopline on 08452 30 40 90.
