The Renfrewshire Wardens service carry out a range of environmental enforcement and community safety duties. Formed from the amalgamation and redesign of the neighbourhood warden service and the town centre wardens, the service aims to make a significant improvement to the environment to deliver a cleaner and safer Renfrewshire.
The Renfrewshire Wardens Service operate from 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week, across the whole of Renfrewshire.
The Wardens have a crucial role in Clean Renfrewshire through investigation of environmental crimes, enforcement of legislation and community clean-ups. They also promote community safety by dealing with minor complaints for antisocial behaviour such as vandalism, graffiti, noise disturbance and youth disorder.
The wardens provide these services:
- Community safety
- Litter, smoking and dog fouling enforcement
- Fly-tipping and trade waste enforcement
- noise enforcement service
- Clean Renfrewshire
- vehicle idling
- car parking enforcement
