Library members can access it, free of charge, in Renfrewshire's Local Studies Library. There is no need to book use of Ancestry and if you're not already a library member it's free and easy to join the library.
Ancestry website contains a wide range of useful information, including -
- Census records for Scotland from 1841 to 1901 and England and Wales, from 1841 to 1911
- Birth, marriage and death record indexes for England from 1837
- Military records from World War 1 and the Roll of Honour for World War 2
- British phone book records from 1880 -1984
If you need help researching your family history our friendly staff can provide support and advice, we even offer free family history surgeries.
