Paisley Local Studies Library has access to the popular family history website Ancestry.com.


Library members can access it, free of charge, in Renfrewshire's Local Studies Library. There is no need to book use of Ancestry and if you're not already a library member it's free and easy to join the library.


Ancestry website contains a wide range of useful information, including -

Access to Ancestry complements the wide collection of family history records held by the Local Studies Library. We also continue to provide, in all Renfrewshire Libraries, discounted access to Scotlandspeople family history website for library members.

If you need help researching your family history our friendly staff can provide support and advice, we even offer free family history surgeries.
