Renfrewshire Youth Voice was set up in 2005 and is the voice for young people aged 12 to 25 in Renfrewshire. The group is made up of five elected members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPS), representatives from other youth groups in Renfrewshire and young people interested in standing up for the rights of other young people.

The group is open to any young person in Renfrewshire and welcomes new young people who want to take part. Renfrewshire Youth Voice meets regularly to: The elected members of the Scottish Youth Parliament travel to national meetings along with some of the wider support group. During these meetings, the MSYPS feedback comments and opinions of the young people from Renfrewshire and address the needs of their peers. The meetings take place four times a year across Scotland.

The group took part in projects such as the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games consultation where Youth Voice members asked young people in Renfrewshire how the Games will affect them living in Scotland and in Renfrewshire.

Renfrewshire Youth Voice has also produced videos on topics such as Fireworks Safety and drink driving. These videos are aimed at young people to support the messages given by partner organisations such as Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and Strathclyde Police

The group is completely open and welcomes anyone who would like to join or just simply attend a meeting. All information about contacts, meeting dates and even the videos can be found at the Renfrewshire Youth Voice website.
