Every day library staff are asked a wide range of questions. Here are a few examples of the most common ones - and we have given you hints on where to find the answers!

Who is my local councillor, MSP and MP?
You can find this information easily using our online mapping system - Localview. Simply type in your address!

Can I look at the electoral roll in the library?
Yes. Each community library has the electoral roll for their area. Paisley Central Reference Library has the electoral roll for all of Renfrewshire. The electoral roll is arranged by address, cannot be searched by name and you cannot photocopy any part of it.

Can I trace my family history in the library?
Yes. The Local Studies Library has many resources to help you trace your family history. For more information, use the link to "Local and Family History" on the left.

Have you got this particular book?
To check if any particular book or other item is in stock, search in our online catalogue. You can reserve it online with your library ticket.

If you do not find what you are looking for in the catalogue, we may still be able to get it for you. Contact your local library, or email us now at: libraries.els@renfrewshire.gov.uk
