Do you want to know more about the people, places and history of Scotland? Use Ask Scotland, the new online national enquiry service.
The Ask Scotland service is staffed by librarians from all over Scotland, including Renfrewshire Libraries, who will use the rich resources of Scotland's libraries to answer your questions.
Examples of Scottish resources held in Paisley Reference Library include:
- Acts of The Parliament of Scotland 1124-1707 and the Acts of the Scottish Parliament 1999 to date.
- Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland 1851 to date.
- The Statistical Account of Scotland published between 1791 and 1799, the New Statistical Account of Scotland published between 1834 and 1845 and the Third Statistical Account of Scotland published in 1977.
- The publications of The Bannatyne Club, an institution formed in Edinburgh in 1823 to print works illustrative of the history, antiquities and literature of Scotland.
- Scottish poetry.
