Session 2008 - 2009

If you are a parent or guardian who receives Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance (income based), you can apply for free school meals for your children.

You can also apply if :
  • you receive Child Tax Credit
  • and do not receive Working Tax Credit
  • and your annual income is £15,565 or less (as assessed by the Inland Revenue and shown on your current Tax Credit Award Notice (TCAN)


Please note you cannot claim free school meals for your children if you receive Working Tax Credit.
