Session 2008 - 2009
Clothing grants will be awarded to parents or guardians of children attending Renfrewshire primary, secondary or special schools during the school session and who satisfy the financial conditions listed below. Payments for children who are over the school leaving age are not made until after the start of the new school session.
For the 2008 - 2009 session, the level of clothing grant is £55 per pupil.
Children resident in Renfrewshire, who satisfy the financial conditions and who have been placed by education and leisure services in a special school or special unit outwith Renfrewshire will also be eligible.
To qualify, you must agree to our checking that you receive one of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Housing Benefit or Council Tax Rebate
- Working Tax Credit (if annual income is £15,565 or less, this threshold may rise from July 2007)
- Child Tax Credit (if annual income is £15,565 or less)
A second award will not normally be made for the same child in any academic session.
The deadline for applications for the session 2008-2009 is 31 March 2009.
