Pre-school nursery places

Home > Services > Education and learning > Information for parents

All children who will be three years old on or before 28 February 2012 should by now have applied for a nursery place. Offers will be posted to all children eligible for a free nursery place in the year ahead, on 25 May 2011.

Renfrewshire Council has reviewed its nursery admissions policy to reflect our commitment to provide a free funded place for every child as soon as possible after their third birthday* and to ensure that all 3-5 year olds have fair access to nursery places regardless of when in the year their birthday falls.

Application forms are available to download or can be collected from any Council nursery or private provider accepted onto the framework to provide pre-school education (private and voluntary nurseries which provide pre-school education on behalf of Renfrewshire Council).

*Children with March to August birthdays will be able to take up their places at the beginning of the Autumn term.
