ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence), is an internationally recognised course which will give you a good working knowledge of computing.The course has seven modules where you will learn about:
- basic concepts of IT
- using the computer and managing files
- word processing
- spreadsheets
- database
- presentation
- information and communication.

Course Fee
Their is a non refundable charge of £10 to do the course - this entitles you to buy an ECDL logbook at a reduced price of £15.
This offer applies only to learners who have signed up to do the course with Renfrewshire libraries after 01/04/08
Getting an ECDL qualification
- you need an ECDL Log book before taking the tests. There is a charge of £25 for this if you have not already signed up for the course using the discount voucher
- you don't need to buy another logbook if you already have a valid logbook from another test centre
- it costs £5 to sit the test for each ECDL module and £5 for any resits
- ECDL tests can be taken at BCS (British Computing Society) accredited libraries in Renfrewshire
- taking the test is through arrangement with the test centre manager
