Background to project
The Cancer Information and Support Service (CISS) has been developed as a partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Renfrewshire Libraries. A small area of Renfrew Library has been refurbished to provide a drop in cancer information and support service where we welcome visitors with a friendly smile. The CISS provides a safe and confidential area within the library. We aim to ensure that those affected by cancer have access to good quality, comprehensive and appropriate information and support.

MacMillan Cancer Support provides the expert care and emotional support that makes a real difference to people living with cancer. Renfrewshire Libraries believe the project can make a real difference to people's lives by harnessing the skills of three different organisations in a supportive environment.
