Renfrewshire Arts and Museums programmes a wide range of arts participatory events throughout the communities of Renfrewshire.


FPR Community Radio; broadcasting twice a year across Renfrewshire. FPR has strong links with Reid Kerr College and offers an NC course in broadcasting skills. Volunteers at the station also have the opportunity to take part in the making of documentaries and interviews and can also learn radio presenting skills. As well as the two broadcasting months during summer and winter, the station is fully equipped with the very latest in broadcast and recording equipment, and is available to anyone wishing to record voice overs or create soundtracks for your own stage shows. Renfrew Gala
1st Sunday in June
Renfrew Gala is an annual community gala festival held in the town of Renfrew. It comprises a wide variety of family orientated community events such as crafts, costume making, competitions, citizens awards and culminates in a Gala Day with a procession, kiddie rides, music, dance performances a tea dance and stalls. This fun packed day attracts over 6,000 people and is guaranteed to have something for all the family.

Sma' Shot Day
1st Saturday in July
Sma' (small) Shot Day is one of the oldest workers' festivals in the world. It is a celebration of the victory by Paisley weavers over the mill owners of the 19th century. Each year, on the first Saturday in July, the people of Paisley turn out in their thousands to watch the traditional parade make its way through the town centre, where the entertainment and celebrations continue throughout the day.
