The National Entitlement Card is a card for young people which entitles you to loads of great discounts on travel! Not only that, your card can carry all the benefits of the Young Scot card.
You can get 1/3 off adult single fares on buses all over Scotland, 1 free young person’s railcard cutting up to 1/3 off all rail travel, 2 free return ferry journeys to the mainland if you live on an island and all the regular fantastic, discounts and benefits of your Young Scot Card.
Your free Young Scot NEC can also be used as proof of your age, and can get you cheaper travel on buses, trains and ferries; and discounts in shops and local leisure and library services.
Young people in Renfrewshire, aged between 11 and 26, can apply for this card. To get a card, fill in the form available from your local library or phone the number below for more general information. Once completed you can return the form to your local library for validation.
If you are disabled and are unsure how to go about getting a card, you can contact the Concessionary Card Unit at Strathclyde Passenger Transport. They will offer guidance on obtaining your card. You can give them a call on 0141 333 3211 or you can visit the SPT Kiosk within Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.
After your application has been processed your card will be posted to your home address.
