In terms of the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006, Renfrewshire council has to consider employees' requests to work beyond the retirement age of 65 (or 70 in the case of school crossing patrollers).
This policy details:
- how requests to work beyond retirement age should be made
- how much notice is needed
- how requests will be accepted
- some reasons why a request may not be granted
- the right to appeal
