The Employment Act, 2002 introduces the right to request flexible working where employees care for children under 6 or for disabled children under 18.

All requests for flexible working will be considered seriously and only refused on clear business grounds. This policy details the process:

• how a request should be made
• what conditions there may be to flexible working
• some reasons a request may be refused
