Procurator Fiscal Conditional Offer

Home > Services > Council and Government > District Court > Court Procedures

These are commonly known as Fiscal Fines and these can relate to matters which can be competently tried before the District Court.

The offer allows the accused person to accept the fine and make payment of the specified amount by way of instalment payments or payment in full by a certain date. Acceptance of the conditional offer means the offender has no criminal record for the offence.

If the offer is not accepted then the matter can be prosecuted by the Procurator Fiscal in the District Court.
