About the scheme

The Waverly Paddle Steamer
The council runs a senior citizens' outing and voucher scheme.

This unique scheme is open to all Renfrewshire residents who are over 70 or who have a 70th birthday before 31 December 2008. Partners of those who qualify are automatically eligible for the scheme even if they aren't 70 years old themselves.


The 2008 scheme offers senior citizens the choice of: The 2008 scheme will operate between 1 April 2008 and 31 March 2009. It is advertised annually in March in the local press, all local council offices, libraries, neighbourhood offices and a variety of other outlets including health centres, post offices, bowling clubs, day centres and lunch clubs.
