We now have introduced 5 local area committees which have taken on the remit of the former Local Grant Boards which were disolved with effect from 31 March 2008.

• Renfrew North Local Grant Board
• Renfrew South and Gallowhill Local Grant Board
• Paisley East and Ralston Local Grant Board
• Paisley North Local Grant Board
• Paisley South Local Grant Board
• Paisley South West Local Grant Board
• Johnstone South, Elderslie and Howwood Local Grant Board
• Johnstone North, Kilbarchan and Lochwinnoch Local Grant Board
• Houston, Crosslee and Linwood Local Grant Board
• Bishopton, Bridge of Weir and Langbank Local Grant Board
• Erskine and Inchinnan Local Grant Board

The following shall comprise the areas of responsibility of the Local Grant Boards:

1. Determination of applications for funding received in terms of the council's community grants scheme.

2. Approval of revenue costs annually arising from projects previously approved by the former local grant committees or the former local area committee.
