The Gender Equality Duty came into force in April 2007 and requires Scottish councils to publish equal pay statements. The document below contains Renfrewshire Council's statement, which underpins our commitment to equal opportunities in employment. The statement recognises the European Commission's Code of Practice on the Implementation of Equal Pay for work of Equal Value for Women and Men.
