To apply for the grant or a renewal of a taxi driver licence, download, complete and send the application form with the appropriate fee to the licensing section at the address below. Please do not email your application form.

A full list of 'Application fees' can be found in the Related Content menu on the right. Licensed drivers within the Renfrewshire area must meet a strict dress code. Please refer to the 'Driver's dress code' page in the Related Content menu for further details.

If you are applying for a new taxi driver licence, you need to sit and pass a knowledge test before you are granted a licence. Find out more in this document:

As a courtesy, we send reminder letters to existing licence holders to tell you when your renewal date is approaching. To make sure that you receive your reminder please remember to let us know if you move house. You can do this by completing our change of address form and either handing it in or posting it to us at the address below.
