Property enquiries service standards

You will:
- if you are thinking about buying a house or other property, need to know if we have any proposals, statutory orders or notices that would affect you or your interest in the property, and
- receive immediate attention if your enquiry is urgent.
We will:
- issue you with a property enquiry certificate, or a combined property and water and sewerage certificate, no later than four working days of receiving your request.
- provide the property certificate at a fixed cost. This cost is agreed by the council every year.
- provide a replacement certificate free of charge if you lose the original.
- give you a receipt for each certificate we issue
- give you accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date information on the property from source documents that we hold
