French lecturers visit Scotland

Reid Kerr College recently welcomed a visit from a group of French lecturers to the college's construction department.
They were visiting as part of the European mobility initiative which promotes the integration of professional working practices between European construction industry students and staff.

Philippe Degallaix, senior lecturer in plumbing at Afobat, a construction college in France, arranged the trip to explore the opportunities for construction student and staff exchanges with Reid Kerr. During the visit all of the construction workshops were visited and director, Benoit Elouard and senior director, Annie Desavoye spent time interviewing plumbing students and staff during a workshop practical lesson.
Senior lecturer in plumbing, Craig Stevenson said, “It is good that Reid Kerr college is recognised by our European partners as being at the forefront of delivering high quality learning and teaching for vocational education in the construction industry. We are looking forward to developing this partnership further.”
