Trio of twins start school

Renfrewshire primary school has scored an unusual hat trick as three sets of twins start the new school term. The three sets of twins, Jude and Finn Rodger, Claire and Joanne Firth and Stella and Lucy McDowall, walked through the gates of Langbank primary on Tuesday, 22 August for their first day of P1.

The trio of twins will certainly make an impression on the new intake of P1 pupils, as with only a small intake of 13 pupils nearly 50 per cent of the class will be twins.

Staff at Langbank Primary School will be taking a double take as they start the hard task of putting the names to the faces of the three sets of twins as they start their classes.

The head teacher at Langbank Primary School, Margaret Fraser, said: “This is the first time we have had three sets of twins start on the same day and like all of our primary one pupils we are looking forward to teaching this trio of twins. We are sure that they will each have their own personalities and are confident that our teaching team here will help them, along with the rest of the new pupils, to grow and flourish as individuals.”
