Popular TV presenter Sean Batty will swap the weatherman's map for the auctioneer's hammer when he hosts a top charity auction at Renfrewshire's Provost's Winter Ball this weekend.
STV weather presenter Sean, from Paisley, will bring a little sunshine to the winter wonderland-themed event on Friday 28 November.
The former Castlehead High School pupil will take bids for top items including luxury holiday accommodation and hospitality tickets for the first game in St Mirren's new stadium, in aid of Alzheimer's Scotland.

Sean said: "I was over the moon that the Provost asked me to compere her Provost's ball this year in Renfrew. I am really looking forward to the event and was excited to find that I would not only be compering the ball but also acting as an auctioneer at the charity auction. Maybe I should try and auction off a warm and sunny summer for 2009 - I reckon we would get a lot for that one!"
As well as Sean compering for the evening, music on the night will be provided by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and the Reel Fun Ceilidh Band.
All the proceeds from the ball, being held at the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew, go to the Renfrewshire branch of Alzheimer's Scotland.
Provost Celia Lawson said: "Alzheimer's is something that has touched many people's lives and I am delighted to be supporting our local branch of this worthwhile charity. Some fantastic prizes have been generously donated by local businesses and individuals for the charity auction and I'm sure people will dig deep on the night."
"We have an excellent line-up of Scottish-themed entertainment to mark St Andrew's day and I'm especially delighted that a Renfrewshire star like Sean is coming along to bring a touch of sunshine to the proceedings."
