Choices student Bobby McNeil receives his certificate from college principal and head of support for learning
Students from the Choices course at Reid Kerr College were joined by their families, friends and carers recently at their annual presentation ceremony.

Each year every student is awarded for their hard work, enthusiasm and excellent attendance.

Head of Support for Learning at Reid Kerr College, Felix Gilfedder, said: "The Choices Award ceremony always creates tremendous excitement. The parents, family, friends and carers of the students are invited along to what is always a terrific celebration. Each year, the College Principal Joe Mooney presents every student with a certificate of achievement and this popular course saw over 200 students attend the presentation this year."

Student Bobby McNeil was among the students celebrating on the day. Bobby, 53, from Barrhead, attends Reid Kerr to take classes in Workskills.

Choices is a course which attempts to provide development classes across the whole college for people with severe learning difficulties. This is run from the Support for Learning section, using the whole College expertise including teaching from a variety of College departments such as plumbing, drama, computing, and art.
