Students on exercise at Gleniffer Country Park
Students from Reid Kerr College's NQ Care class have been involved in a range of Citizenship activities throughout their year at College which has included experiences with asylum seeker families, fundraising events and learned about local and global communities.

The group recently raised £160 and used it to purchase equipment for Ward 4B (Burns Ward) in Yorkhill Hospital.

As part of a 'Working With Others' unit on the course, they also participated in a Wayfinding and team building exercise at Gleniffer Braes Country Park. Senior lecturer in care Maureen Macpherson said, "The group have gelled together really well and have worked hard throughout the year in terms of developing citizenship skills. This has had a positive effect on their confidence, motivation and learning."

NQ Care student Nicole Gardner said, "This course has really helped my confidence and encouraged me to continue with my education."
