It was 'hats off' to the construction students at Reid Kerr College recently when they picked up a certificate of achievement at this year's end of year pre-apprenticeship awards.
All of the students gathered at the college's Abercorn Conference Centre to celebrate.

Aimed at individuals hoping to work in the construction industry, who have yet to secure a permanent job, the pre-apprenticeship course incorporates hands-on training with specialist lecturers in all the main construction crafts including:
- carpentry and joinery
- plumbing
- brickwork
- painting and decorating
- electrical
- plastering, and
- roof, slating and tiling.
