Computing courses at Reid Kerr college embrace the ever advancing IT sectors and promote learning in the latest computer applications, hardware and software operations. Did you know that studying for an HND in software development at Reid Kerr can offer you guaranteed third year entry into university? Former students have already progressed onto a degree or secured employment within the computing industry.

Award winning student Alan Gray, 43 from Erskine completed the HND software development and is now adding a degree to his CV by doing the final year of a BSc at university. Alan said, "The course and staff at Reid Kerr were excellent. I was a total beginner but I have learned to develop systems and software in a professional manner and I am now looking forward to continuing with my education." Alan was named student of the year for his course last year.

Senior lecturer in computing Bill Gallacher added, "These courses are designed to help alleviate the current shortage of qualified software engineers, programmers and systems analysts within the industry. For this reason the subjects offered on both courses focus on systems analysis and software engineering subjects, including the use of Java, Visual Basic and C++ software development platforms."

Both programmes are available on a full-time, part-time and day-release basis and you can find out more information by calling Student Services on 0800 052 7343 or log on to the Reid Kerr website.
