Student Association President Meets Prime Minister

Reid Kerr Student Association President Natale Craig recently attended a reception at No.10 Downing Street.
Tony Blair held the reception in recognition of those who have made outstanding contributions to the Further Education Sector. Teaching staff, support staff, management and a handful of student representatives from across Britain were nominated and invited to this prestigious event.
Natale who has been Reid Kerr’s Student Association president for the last 2 years also works closely with the Funding Council, SQA and the NUS in addition to sitting on the Further Education Roundtable, chaired by Nicol Stephen, Deputy First Minister.

Natale said, “It was a fantastic experience being at number 10 and meeting the Prime Minister. It was great to be there not only for myself but also to acknowledge the support the College has given me and the Student Association.
It was nice to know that students association presidents are considered to be an integral part of Further Education development and that our input has made a difference to the bigger picture.”
