The judges have just finished drawing up their short list of nominees for this years Provost’s Community Awards. Now in its ninth year, the prestigious awards led by Renfrewshire's Provost Burns aims to recognise special individuals who have made a difference in their local community.
The awards celebrate the work of a variety of local people, including children and young people with special needs, community volunteers, carers and good citizens.
Renfrewshire’s Provost Burns, said: “The awards, like the nominees, are very special. It will be a pleasure for me to meet those who are shortlisted, and to congratulate the winners on the night of the awards ceremony.
“We received a wealth of entries this year, highlighting the many unseen heroes in Renfrewshire. I would like to thank everyone who entered and didn’t make it to the short list. It was very hard for the judges to choose from this years entries, all which were well deserving of an award.”
