HNC Hairdressing student Jenna Smillie was celebrating at the double recently when she was recognised for her winning style at the recent UK Skills awards presentation in Manchester. Jenna was presented with her award, on the same day as her 18th Birthday, by TV personality David Grant at a glittering ceremony.
Jenna was recognised for blowing away the competition and picking up Gold at the UK Skills Competition in 2007.
Senior Lecturer Val Lang said, “We are very proud of Jenna’s achievements. Jenna and some of her fellow hairdressing students are now working towards competing in the next World Skills final, due to be held in Calgary, Canada 2009.”
