Employees from throughout Scotland came together recently to celebrate Reid Kerr College’s Hospitality Modern Apprenticeship Awards. Families, friends and employers joined the celebrations at the Paisley Town Hall for a prestigious ceremony where candidates received their certificates of achievement. The modern apprenticeship programmes are supported by Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire.
Reid Kerr College is a key provider of vocational education and training in Scotland. The employer-led training programmes have won both national training awards and modern apprenticeship awards, showcasing best practice.
Lorraine Ross, director of care at Erskine was invited to speak at the event as well as attending the ceremony to recognise employees from her own organisation. She commented, “Reid Kerr College supported the graduates and gave them a belief in themselves that they could achieve this challenge. Both the graduates and Reid Kerr should be very proud of their success.”
Modern apprenticeships are a high quality nationally agreed training programme embracing Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs), as the main qualification routes.
