Reid Kerr College was one of only a handful of Scottish colleges recently awarded the Erasmus University Charter, which is targeted at higher education institutions and their students and staff in all 27 member states of the European Union.

Successful application for this EU award now allows Reid Kerr College to reinforce the quality and the European and international dimension of college activities by combining the expertise and state-of the-art knowledge of other higher education institutions from several countries.

Sara Rae, European research and development manager at Reid Kerr said, “This award puts us on a par with universities at a European level and allows us to access a pot of funding in excess of €950m to help support key college activities such as student exchanges and work placements, joint development of study programmes and development of business and educational networks to explore best practice.”

Press release issued by Reid Kerr: Monday 1 October 2007
