The Renfrewshire Council Plan 2008-2012 sets out the approach to delivering council services with the goal of 'transforming Renfrewshire'.
This and the Renfrewshire Community Plan 2008 - 2017 are closely-linked to the Scottish Government's strategic objectives for Scotland. These are to build communities which are:
We will successfully promote and develop Renfrewshire as a desirable area in which to live and work.
We will support local people to participate in their own communities and in wider society, and we will ensure that local areas are safe and pleasant to live in.
We will improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of local people through improved access to relevant services and opportunities.
We will work to improve Renfrewshire's natural and built environment and the sustainable use natural resources.
We will promote learning and encourage all citizens and employees to fulfill their individual potential.
