This scheme has been produced by Renfrewshire Council to meet the requirements of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000. The Scheme details how the Council will fulfil the general duties of the Act which are to:

• Eliminate unlawful racial discrimination
• Promote equality of opportunity
• Promote good relations between people of different racial groups
